| New Classes Beginning February 18th, 2008 Creative Movement (Preschool Ages 3-6) Introduction to tones, beats, rhythms, tempo, pitch and fine motor skills. Work on coordination, basic dance steps, body and space awareness and creative play. Interacting in a group, following directions, sharing, taking turns, gaining independence and self-confidence. Wednesdays: 4:00-4:45 p.m. Class begins February 20th. No class 3/26. Discover Drama (Elementary Age) Drama opens a child's horizons. All children are creative and need a channel to explore and to express themselves. Drama encourages teamwork and helps build self confidence. It can also help your child feel comfortable speaking in front of peers. Students will learn techniques that will help them overcome their shyness or bring out the true performer in them! Develop acting skills through theatre games focused on characters and storytelling. Discover Drama is a beginning level class that involves the following:
Tuition For Creative Movement and Discover Drama: $36 monthly (February/March will be prorated.) ************************************* Musical Theatre Workshop I (Ages 7-12) Students will be introduced to skills to improve their vocal, acting and dance abilities, which set them on a path to become the ultimate "Triple Threat". No previous experience required. Saturdays 10:00-11:00 a.m. Musical Theatre Workshop II (Ages 13-17) This workshop will consist of more advanced classes in vocal technique, dance, song/audition repertoire, acting and musical theatre scene study. Saturdays: 11:00-Noon Advanced Acting Techniques (Ages 13-17) Emphasis on characterization, scene work, monologues and musical theatre performance. Previous stage experience required. Wednesdays: 7:00-8:00 p.m. Tuition for Musical Theatre Workshops and Advanced Acting Technique: $45 monthly ************************************ Youth Theatre Day Camp (Ages 7-12) March 24th - March 28th & June 23rd - June 27th Students will be introduced to the basics of theatre; including acting, musical theatre, musical theatre dance and improvisation/drama games. Students will work on small skits and scenes, as well as, a small production to be performed at the end of the session. Please bring a bag lunch for your child.
